It would be nice to be a Mexican living in Mexico. I can’t imagine what it would be like to live in a place where the government actually acts in the majority’s best interests. From the L.A. Times blog:

But many stay in Mexico, at least for a time, where they may be beaten, killed, raped, kidnapped by criminal gangs, put in jail or shaken down by corrupt Mexican officials…
The Amnesty report says that up to 60% of female migrants suffer some form of sexual abuse; migrants are routinely forced to pay bribes; detention centers are woefully overcrowded, and victims are too terrorized to make formal complaints, rendering them “invisible.””

To summarize: Mexico dumps its poorest (numbering in the tens of millions) on the United States. The US government then taxes its citizenry to pay for, among other things:
-K-12 education for children of the illegals.
-Emergency room care (it is against the law to refuse care in the US).
-Processing and imprisonment of illegals who commit crimes.
And President Felipe Calderon comes to the US every year to lecture the US government about “racism” and to demand that they repeal their already unenforced immigration laws. He does all of this while turning a blind eye to (if not secretly encouraging) the terrible treatment of illegal immigrants on Mexico’s southern border.

“If the government is bailing out corporations like AIG, why can’t the government simply not pay executives these bonuses that aren’t earned?”

The economy has most people dusting off their old pickfork, lighting up that trusty torch, and joining the angry mob.
One of the stories that has received the most attention regards the bonuses that are being paid to executives of corporations now under majority control by the United States Government. Hearing of executives of these companies being paid bonuses during tough economic times, when their companies have performed terribly, using government money that objectively represents debt that will be paid by our children’s children, will cause anyone to get pissed off, and rightfully so. But there is a huge difference between what ought to be and what is.
These bonuses represent contactual obligations that these corporations are bound to pay their employees. The Rule of Law would be severely deteriorated if these bonuses were not paid despite their contractual validity, as counter-intuitive as that sounds. No amount of moralistic reasoning, or meritocratic logic allows this contracts to be dissolved. This would have severe implications for many contractual relationships between employers and employees, and the negatives will far outweigh the positives in the long run.
The Democrat-controlled House and Senate has advanced a plan to retroactively tax these bonuses, which amounts to stealing from these citizens.
These bonuses are gone, and the major media needs to start focusing on the lack of leadership the Democrats are showing in proactively instituting new reforms to ensure that this pattern of incompetence does not continue.

The US-Mexican border has been a massive thorn in the side of American homeland security for decades. The latest threat has been a bad mixture of illegal immigration and gang violence. Gang violence related to the drug trade has gotten so bad in the city of Ciudad Juárez that Mexico has sent in the army to get a handle on things. The US State Department has stated that over 2000 people have been murdered in the city since January 2008 and they believe that the gangs are buying their weapons in the United States and trafficking them over the border.
The violence has been spilling over the border into the US. As a result, a House hearing has been set up in which a subcommittee will ask members of homeland security questions about possible solutions and where the US has been failing to protect its border.
Chairing this committee is, of course, Republican Loretta Sanchez.
Mexico’s military and police have been embroiled in increasingly violent clashes with drug cartels, which are battling among themselves for control over an ever-growing market in the United States.
Rep. Loretta Sanchez, chairwoman of the House committee holding the hearing, said Thursday that what’s happening in Mexico is becoming a growing problem for the United States.
“Well, it certainly has always been a problem at the border, but in the last couple of decades, it’s gotten even worse. Now we see some spillover, just a little bit, coming into the United States,” she said on CNN’s “American Morning.”
“I think it’s time that we make a comprehensive plan to figure out, not just what we do about the violence at the border — but it’s all tied together with the economy down there, with our economy, … commerce routes between the two countries.”
The Border, Maritime and Global Counterterrorism Committee hearing on border issues focuses on violence and the transfer of guns from the United States to Mexico to arm the cartels.
Sanchez said it’s a crime to sell some of the guns from stores within the United States and traffic them to Mexico. Most of the gun stores selling these weapons, she said, are within a mile of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Sanchez suggested looking at what types of guns are being sold in those stores and perhaps instituting some provision against assault weapons.
This is where I get jacked. If you think back to the presidential race when the liberal media claimed that Senator Barack Obama was supposedly winning debate after debate, you will recall that Senator John McCain was staying strong to his belief that the US Border was one of the greatest threats to US homeland security! How fitting is it that a war has broken out in a city just miles away from US soil and there is nothing there to stop the violence from spilling over but a few cacti and a picket fence.
Had McCain won, there state of the US-Mexican border wouldn’t even come into question because it would already be in lockdown. However, now that we have that progressive socialist in the white house, we are spending millions of dollars on carbon capture programs and billions of dollars protecting the “helpless” Palestinians who so “innocently” toss bombs into Israeli elementary schools.
I can’t wait for Obama’s balls to be tested on a real international crisis. Only then will everyone see how yella he is!
Reports are coming in that the violence in Mexico is reducing the supply of illegal drugs that is coming into Vancouver, making the gangs in the area more desperate for the limited resources available. Clearly the police in the lower mainland are completely useless, which isn’t surprising given that this province is filled with a bunch of hippies and NDP-supporters. What is an upstanding gentleman to do with so many shooting going on?

In my opinion, we need to take all of the gang members in the lower mainland and ship them up to Baffin Island, no “work camps” or “rehabilitation facilities,” or “food” or “shelter.” Just one or two Earl’s restaurants where these miscreants can spend $400 between three people on a Tuesday at 2:30pm on Monkey’s Lunches and Jack Frosts.
It is time for the citizens of B.C., the ones with balls, to take back their damn country and stop expecting a government that has been run by fucking hippies for the last half century to get anything right in law enforcement. It worked for Britain, and they weren’t even dealing with minorities.

Well here she goes again. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi proves once again why the Communism she so proudly advocates doesn’t work – CORRUPTION. Just yesterday, Speaker Pelosi told news reporters that the American people shouldn’t think they won’t have to open up their wallets again for more “stimulus”. Today, the news breaks that Pelosi has been arrogantly flying around using U.S. Military planes to shuttle her and her comrades at the expense of the taxpayer. This woman is a crook and a fraud – not to mention a far left lunatic. It scares me to think that this is Obama’s right hand (wo)man.
Judicial Watch Uncovers Documents Detailing Pelosi’s Repeated Requests for Military Travel
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Department of Defense (DOD) detailing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s multiple requests for military air travel. The documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), include internal DOD email correspondence detailing attempts by DOD staff to accommodate Pelosi’s numerous requests for military escorts and military aircraft as well as the speaker’s last minute cancellations and changes.
“Taken together, these documents show that Speaker Pelosi treats the Air Force like her personal airline,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Not only does Speaker Pelosi issue unreasonable requests for military travel, but her office seems unconcerned about wasting taxpayer money with last minute cancellations and other demands.”
As most things that piss me off take place in a class room this topic is no different. While listening to my professor lecture about the “social contract” I couldn’t help but notice the woman in front of me so blatantly not taking notes.
Instead, she was ass deep into the popular blog “perezhilton.com’. It got me thinking about what everyone’s infatuation with celebrities is. People like Perez Hilton make a living reporting the latest in celebrity gossip. Perez calls HIMself the “Queen of all media”…spare me!
What is more pathetic than grown men committing their lives to reporting on useless celebrity gossip is the people who read it! Instead of listening to my professor speak about political philosophy, something that will actually be of benefit, this woman would rather learn about some BS cat fight between the Jonas Brothers and 50 Cent.
This Perez Hilton person is contributing to the dumbing down of society. You wonder why we struggle to get even 50 % of the population to actively take part in the election of their leaders. Yet, the second one of these over paid, self righteous, ass hole actors or actresses opens their mouth because KFC kills chickens so we can eat their delightfully crispy original recipe, all hell breaks loose.
If people spent as much time reading the news paper or blogs like mans inc., then maybe society wouldn’t be so retarded! Talk about powerful lobbies, Hollywood is probably one of the most powerful lobbies in North America because of the strangle hold it has on all the morons who care more about Chris Brown beating up Rihanna then they do the shitty job Obama is doing running the free world.

Yesterday global warming activists were set to stage a massive protest in Washington DC. The protest was aimed at the federal government’s use of coal to heat government buildings including The Capital Building and The Supreme Court. However, the protesters were met with a blizzard and the protest became much more of a laughing stock.
Protest organizers said about 2,500 people braved the blizzard to oppose greenhouse gas emissions, but the shroud of snow wasn’t the only wet blanket in the nation’s capital Monday.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called on the architect of the Capitol to stop burning coal at the power plant last week, canceled her appearance at the rally because her flight to Washington was canceled.
One protester named Kat had planned to get arrested and be bailed out Monday but decided to stay put and donate her money to a good cause instead. “I don’t want to travel in the snow today,” she said.
Once again activists show their true colours. A little snow stopped many from coming out to support their cause. Clearly the woman who intended to get arrested and then bailed out is hard core. She is so into stopping climate change she is willing to show the authorities she means business and get arrested, but only if it is warm out. I wonder if she would like getting arrested and locked in a building without heat. Maybe they should turn the heat of the jails and prisons, I wonder if she will be keen to spend some time there. The buzz words helped Obama.
Once again… the Global Warming Crowd is having a hard time staying warm.

I’ve always found it interesting to see the glaring double standard that exists today. Even with political correctness running rampant, it seems as though the “White” people of North America are constantly made out to be the “racists”. I found it interesting that during President Bush’s administration, he was constantly compared in the media to the likeness of a monkey without controversy and yet now with a political cartoon in the New York Post comparing a monkey to Obama people are up in arms. No surprise to see media whores Rev. Al Sharpton and Spike Lee calling for heads to roll.
The extent to which PC and civil rights groups run rampant in our society is appalling. Clearly in the cartoon, the artist is showing his disdain for the stimulus package by depicting its creator and major proponent as a monkey for its creation. But people trying to argue that there is somehow a link between the monkey and a race issue is too much for me to take. Where were Al Sharpton and Spike Lee when Bush was being compared to a neanderthal? That’s right, nowhere to be found. If these special interest groups spent their time and resources worrying about more pressing issues – say keeping hardworking folks employed – think of how much farther we would be ahead as a society.
Spike Lee wants boycott of New York Post over chimpanzee cartoon
Filmmaker Spike Lee led the call for celebrities to join a boycott of the New York Post Friday during a raucous protest of a racially charged cartoon.
Joined by his 11-year-old son, Lee told a crowd of about 300 people that he has bought the tabloid in the past – but no more.
And he suggested athletes and entertainers shun the paper’s writers because of Wednesday’s cartoon, which compared President Obama with a crazed chimp by some interpretations.
Cliff Cornell is a US Army soldier who, like many, has deserted the army and found refuge in Canada. During the Vietnam War Canada was a popular destination for cowards and draft dodgers. It seems that over 30 years later, Canada is still a hot spot for those who wish to run. I believe the Canadian policy is somewhat relaxed about deporting deserters to the US where they face criminal charges in a Military court.
The problem here is that Canada and some Canadians endorse this criminal behavior. In a recent story on CTV a Toronto activist group is at it again.
Michelle Robidoux, spokeswoman for the Toronto-based War Resisters Support Campaign, said the group has worked with about 50 U.S. service members seeking refugee status or political asylum in Canada. The group estimates more than 200 have fled to Canada, most of them hiding out illegally.
This group is typical of left leaning Canadians that are inclined to push their Anti-American and Anti-War agendas. They are harboring and aiding criminals and criminal activity. I think this should outrage Canadians. What would you think if the group was setup to help car thieves on the run from Police?
Canada’s most important partner in the world is the United States in terms of trade, economics, security, and support. As Canadians we need to start appreciating the US a little more. We cannot be known as a tropical get away for any American who wants to run from the US.
